Remember trips to Grandma’s house? The warm, welcoming, gracious home where you felt so sheltered, so cared for? (Assuming Grandma lived in the country, but just minutes from shopping, dining, Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway). With all the character of rich pine paneling, gleaming oak floors, earth tones reflected in the verdant woods outside, roomy eat-in kitchen, you’ll almost smell the cookies baking in this renovated 2 BR, 2 Bath cabin. Each bedroom has a luxurious, custom-made king-sized bed, vintage furniture and an adjacent full bath.
Bo’s is secluded from the other cabins – pull in the driveway off Lance Road, drive into the carport, shut the gate behind you and you have completely left behind all the reasons you needed a vacation in the first place. The huge, completely fenced back yard has a gate into the rest of Barkwells, so you’re not far from socializing and swimming in the pond. Besides all the creature comforts, you’ll love the views from the large open deck – whatever the time of day you look over the expansive fenced yard to the mountains, the sunrise, the moonrise, – it’s all good….

Bo (Robespierre) was the royal standard poodle Ellen grew up with. The photo near the front door is of Bo in his favorite place to hide from thunderstorms, behind Ellen’s mother’s chair. Bo lived to the ripe old age of 17. The (recovered) chair is in the living room at Bo’s Hideaway.
