We are so excited to be able to welcome you back to Barkwells!

If you are ready to escape confinement in your own private fenced home-away-from-home and breathe in fresh mountain air with acres of fenced meadows to enjoy, Barkwells is the perfect place to enjoy a haven of space, comfort and ease.

Our cabins are available beginning Memorial Day weekend and the following weekend. During the month of June, a full day will be allowed on either side of a guest’s visit in order to ensure additional preventative measures for COVID-19.

We miss you!

In the interest of the safety of our guests and staff, we are making some changes to adapt to the “new normal”.

  • Check in is at 4:30 pm and check out is at 9:00 am in order to provide ample time to implement enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
  • Additional information about changes in policies and procedures is available in your cabin or cottage and on our website. If you have questions or need additional information about anything pertaining to your stay, please call the office.
  • Please respect social distancing guidelines when in the common areas
  • Please respect social distancing for your dogs, too. (we know they want to play together, but please respect other guests’ desires for people and pet distance and do not interact with other guests’ dogs)
  • Our office will be open limited hours, so if you want to purchase merchandise or speak with office staff, please call and we will be happy to make ourselves available to you.
  • Our maintenance staff is here to serve you, and will service your hot tub regularly if you plan to use it.
Where is everybody?

We are pleased to know that Barkwells already meets or exceeds new CDC and  AirBnB cleaning protocols. Each cabin will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival.

In addition:

  • We are adding additional disinfecting procedures with EPA approved products.
  • Our staff will be wearing PPE for each cleaning process.
  • Be assured that all linens and bedding will be freshly cleaned and sanitized on your arrival. We  request that you bag your linens on departure in the provided bags.
  • All remote controls will have disposable covers, changed for each guests’ visit.

We are continuing to utilize our essential oil based cleaners to maintain their fresh, relaxing, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial essence to your visit.
