2004-2019
In celebration of 15 years of Come. Sit. Stay.® Barkwells is offering a special promotion.
Many guests are inquiring about the changes going on “next door” as they see the bamboo being removed on the other side of our perimeter fence. In 2016, Unity of The Blue Ridge Church, which owned 21 acres adjacent to Barkwells on the east and south, sold the south 11 acres across the creek from Barkwells. That property has become Carolina Memorial Sanctuary (CMS), the first conservation burial park in North Carolina.
While most people come for the spectacular color and cool fall air in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, there is more going on here than you can throw your dog’s stick at! From art to apples and beer to Barnaroo, there are festivals for every occasion.
Barkwells was recently featured in the Citizen-Times Home of the week. The Winners’ pre-civil war Pisgah Forest home in Transylvania County is also the office and headquarters of their dog-friendly resort, Barkwells.
